OT - My Grandmother
Well I just got the call from my Mom that my Grandmother (Dad's mother - the one up north of Scranton) passed away last night. I was taking Mia up to meet her on sunday. She was an amazing lady who had a flare for life and always did things dramatically. She made all of her own clothes and had a preference for large floral patterns. She had heart issues and we almost lost her 2 years ago due to congestive heart failure, but meds got her back on track and she was doing great until a few days ago when the symptoms came back - nausea, vomiting, swelling etc.
I will be headed up there tomorrow morning (saturday), she didn't want services so there is just going to be a picnic on sunday at the house. I know that she is at peace now but it breaks my heart that she didn't get to meet Mia.
We could sure use your thoughts and prayers

Aww Liz,
Sooo very sorry to read your sad news and I remember when your Grandma was ill a couple of years back. . . anyway, sweetie, I hope you hold onto your dear memories as comfort and your little Mia has a very special angel to watch over her now. . .
Prayers going out to all touched by your Grandma for peace and strength in knowing she is just looking down with all her love on those left here on this earth.
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
